Coach Bob McGee

Coach McGee brought a structure and organization to UAGS that helped get me through high school and set me up for college and career beyond. I still remember the names and scouting reports of all of our rivals because we were so well-prepared. To this day, I do not understand a team that doesn’t know how to set a wall inside their own goal to defend an indirect kick because we practiced it so often. He came in and set a high bar for the program, challenging us to dream as big as a state championship and helping us to see we had the potential to achieve it (our Regional Finals appearance was the longest post-season run in program history at the time)

Bob McGee was incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to the game. He was tough on players, but only because he saw their potential and wanted them to be the best player they could be. He had a passion for soccer and he showed his love for coaching every day on and off the field.
